A young westerner's experience with Swami Balendu

(Note: The pictures below are from Swami Balendu's visit to Europe. They are used for illustrative purposes only)

It was a scorching July afternoon when I arrived in Vrindavan. It was to be the trip of a life time. I had saved up all year to travel to India to meet Swami Balendu. I have loved India since my childhood and a great longing to visit the holy and peaceful land of Vrindavan. To me, it had always been a place of mystery and magic. I dreamed of lord Krishna and his mischievous ways, and I had read about all of the great swamis of Vrindavan. When I heard about swami Balendu, I was so excited to meet him. He had lived in cave, and I felt like I was going to meet a very spiritual person. How wrong I was!

My stay with Swami Balendu was one of the most spiritually devastating experiences of my life. Swami Balendu has a fixation with western type dance parties, which he calls "chakra dance parties" and horrible body pile-ons between men and women. He and his brothers likes to watch as young men and women role on top of each other and grind against one another. It was disgusting but someone at Swami Balendu's ashram told me that this is part of Indian culture and that I should feel privileged to be part of it. I truly believed I was experiencing something great, but at the same time I felt sick inside. To me it felt like being in a seedy nightclub back home, but much much weirder.

I cried myself to sleep each night, but each day I tried to act like everything was ok. These parties are a normal part of life for the Balendu dynasty, and their followers. Although Swami Balendu says that he is not a guru, and that his followers are his friends, nothing could be further from the truth. I thought I was meeting a nice Guru who would teach me Indian spirituality, but instead I found a fraud with a pre-occupation with sex and sexuality. I hated him and his wife and I will never go back to that place. I love Vrindavan and all her people, but Swami Balendu should be investigated for spiritual fraud and the unholy sexual focus. I felt so sorry for all those orphans that Swami Balendu keeps there. They will grow up with a distorted view of love, sex and religion.

This is the only "love" I experience from Swami Balendu, and it cost a bloody fortune.

Welcome to India Against Fake Swamis!

India Against Fake Swamis (IAFS) is a non-profit research group dedicated to investigating and rooting out fake Indian Swamis. We have a team of some of the most thorough investigators and researchers to help you make informed choices before being caught up in a web of sex, fraud and spiritual emptiness.

In recent years, a number of swamis have come into the headlines for their fraudulent ways and sexual appetite. One of the most controversial swamis in India today is Swami Balendu from Vrindavan. His ashram has become a hot bed for sex, unholy dance parties for westerners and mal-nourishment of orphan children. We believe it is highly inappropriate for kids to be kept in such a sexually charged environment.

While Swami Balendu may be the public face of fake gurus in India, there are many more Swamis who have come into the news for highly inappropriate behavior with women and girls and boys. We will expose them all, one by one, so you can enjoy India in safety and comfort without the hassle of getting into the hands of these people.

Here is a glimpse of sexually charged pile-on of men and women at Swami Belendus ashram.

In this case, kids are kept within walking distance of adult sexual antics and start re-enacting adult behavior with other kids, or even with adults at the ashram.
